Get the App

Save the shop to your home screen. Same catalogue, one tap away.

The Clone Emporium runs as an app on your phone. It is this same site, saved to your home screen — it opens full screen with our icon, no address bar, and it lands straight on the catalogue.

What you actually get

Our logo on your home screen. A full-screen window with no browser chrome. Your cart and your signed-in account remembered between visits. And nothing to download or update — it is the website, so the moment we add a strain, you have it.

iPhone and iPad

This has to be done in Safari. Chrome and Firefox on iOS cannot add anything to the home screen — that is an Apple restriction, not ours.

  1. Open thecloneemporium.com in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow pointing up. It is at the bottom of the screen on an iPhone, top right on an iPad.
  3. Scroll down that list and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Our name and icon appear. Tap Add, top right.

Android

Easiest in Chrome. Samsung Internet, Edge and Firefox all do the same thing under slightly different wording.

  1. Open thecloneemporium.com in Chrome.
  2. Tap the three dots menu, top right.
  3. Tap Install app — or Add to Home screen, if that is what yours says.
  4. Tap Install to confirm.

Chrome often offers this by itself, in a bar along the bottom of the screen. Either route ends in the same place.

On a computer

Chrome and Edge will install it too. Look for the small install icon at the right hand end of the address bar, or find Install in the browser menu. It then opens in its own window like any other program.

Why we are not in the App Store or Google Play

Two reasons, and we would rather say them plainly than pretend. The app stores are difficult ground for anything cannabis related and the rules move without much warning — we are not building our storefront on top of that. And for a shop like this a saved web app is simply the better tool: no download, no version to update, and no waiting on an app review to fix a price or add a cut.

Removing it

Press and hold the icon and remove it, the same as any other app. Nothing is left behind on your phone.

If the option is not there

On an iPhone the usual reason is that the page is open in Chrome rather than Safari. Otherwise call or text (860) 530-4871 and we will walk you through it in about a minute.
