At five thousand feet and up the light is harder. There is less atmosphere between your canopy and the sun, so UV comes through at a level a plant from a coastal nursery has never met. Colorado growers usually see tighter internodes, smaller leaves and more resin on outdoor plants than they expect, which is not a bad outcome, but a fresh clone moved straight into full mountain sun will bleach and stall. Harden new arrivals off over four or five days in shade before they see the middle of the day.
The air is also dry and it moves. Ten to twenty percent relative humidity is a normal afternoon on the Front Range, and pots dry out faster than anywhere east of the plains. Combined with the diurnal swing, where a 90 degree afternoon becomes a 50 degree night, you get plants that transpire hard all day and then sit cold. Fabric pots that work beautifully in Ohio can be a watering chore in Pueblo.
The short window is the constraint. Fast finishing indica leaning plants are the safe outdoor choice, so start with Nighttime Indicas and, if you are new to the state, the Easy To Grow shelf. Long running Daytime Sativas are excellent under lights here but rarely make it outdoors before the cold arrives.
Indoors, Colorado is a good place to grow. The dry air means dehumidification is barely a cost, and mould pressure is low compared to the southeast, which is why Big Yielders and the resin heavy Hash & Rosin do well in Denver and Colorado Springs rooms. The trade is that you may need to add humidity in veg rather than strip it out, and hard municipal water in a lot of the state will need testing before you build a feed schedule on top of it.

We ship Monday through Wednesday only so nothing spends a weekend in a depot. Clones leave rooted, never as cuttings, and the further a box travels the more the transit day matters. In winter, order early in the week and be ready to bring the box in quickly. A rooted plant handles a cold porch far worse than a cold truck.
