New Jersey is dense, and the practical reality for a lot of growers is a spare room, a basement corner, a garage bay or a small fenced yard overlooked by neighbours. That shapes what you should buy more than the climate does. In a four by four or a two plant patio setup, one badly chosen cut wastes the entire run, because you do not have the space to absorb a mistake.
For tight spaces, pick shorter, sturdier, indica leaning plants that fill out rather than stretch. Cuts from Nighttime Indicas tend to stay compact and manageable. Skip anything with a reputation for tripling in height unless you have the vertical room and are comfortable training hard. Smell is the other consideration in a close neighbourhood, and the loudest material we carry sits on the Gas and OG shelf, which is worth knowing before you commit a whole room to it.
South Jersey and the Pine Barrens sit on sand. Water and nutrients run straight through, so beds need serious organic matter and mulch or you will be feeding constantly and still watching plants go pale between rains. North Jersey has heavier soil, more hills, cooler nights and a season that closes a couple of weeks earlier. Along the whole coast, salt air and steady wind take a toll on tender growth.

Summer indoor runs in an unconditioned Jersey basement are a fight against heat and humidity at the same time. Most growers here do their best indoor work from October through May, when the room is easier to hold. That is the window for Dessert and Candy, and for anything from Pheno Hunted that deserves proper conditions.
