The Clone Emporium vs Get Seeds Right Here

$40 against $69, 854 strains against 503, and what their catalogue actually showed on the day we checked.

Get Seeds Right Here is a Colorado clone seller run by Mike "Bike" Hawley, operating under that brand since 2015. They sell rooted clones at $69 for most strains and $99 for premium cuts, with free UPS 2-Day Air and no order minimum. They are a real competitor and the closest thing to a like-for-like comparison in this list.

Here is where the two of us actually differ, checked against their own published pages on 24 August 2026.

$40 vs $69
Every strain we carry is $40. Their standard tier is $69, premium $99. On five clones that is $200 against $345.

What five clones actually cost

Both shops ship free, so the price of the plants is the whole bill. This is the same order priced at each.

Where they beat us

No minimum order. You can buy one clone from them. Our floor is $200, which is five. If you want a single plant, they are the better shop for that order and we would rather say so than waste your time.

They publish a lab report. We think theirs has real problems — 335 samples described as covering a 503-product catalogue, a certificate we could not read, an empty results table — but they put a document on the internet, and most clone sellers do not.

We asked them for test results

We contacted Get Seeds Right Here by email and asked for hop latent viroid results on the cuts we were looking at. No results were provided. We still have that correspondence.

We are putting that on the page because it is the one question that matters most when you buy a clone, and because you can ask it of anybody — including us. Ask us for the result on a specific mother and we will send you the Tumi Genomics report for that plant.

Four questions worth asking any clone seller

  • "Can you send the HLVd result for this specific cut?" Not a catalogue-wide certificate. The actual mother the clone came off.
  • "Where are the plants grown?" A nursery that owns its mothers answers this in one sentence and usually likes being asked.
  • "Who took the cutting, and when?" If the answer is vague, ask again.
  • "What exactly happens if it arrives dead?" Get the remedy in writing before you pay, not after.

If a seller will not answer those four in an email, that is your answer.

The honest summary

If you want one clone, buy from them. If you want five or more, you are paying roughly $29 extra per plant for the privilege, and on a ten-plant order that is $290 that could have been two more strains and a bag of media.

The bigger issue is availability. Their comparison page attacks a rival for having "Many homepage strains listed Sold Out" while advertising a "Live in-stock catalog without heavy sold-out lists." On the day we checked, every page of their catalogue we opened was out of stock. Our 854 are in stock because we do not list what we cannot cut.

We also cannot tell you who grows their plants, because they do not say. Ours are cut in our own building off mothers we own and test. That is not a small difference when the thing you are buying is a living plant carrying whatever the mother had.
